Duke didn’t just beat Notre Dame Tuesday night; they beat them in true historic fashion.

Duke, in its first game as the No. 1-ranked team under head coach Jon Scheyer, handed Notre Dame its largest home loss since 1898, when it lost 64-8 to the Chicago First Regiment, as noted on ESPN’s broadcast.

Highlighted by a 24-point night by Cameron Boozer, he nearly outperformed the entire Notre Dame roster in the first half.

Duke is currently on course to become the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Notre Dame, which now sits at the bottom of the ACC, has a lot of work to do this offseason to return to March for the first time since 2022.

All eyes are on Jon Scheyer as he searches for his first Title as Duke’s head coach.
