Deion Sanders reveals why he will never take an NFL coaching job

Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders has at times been linked to a coaching job in the NFL, but he once again said Friday that he has no interest in ever moving to the league.

In an appearance on ESPN’s “First Take” Friday, Sanders was asked if there was anything that could ever convince him to move to the NFL. He said no, and offered an interesting explanation.

“After what transpired with my son last year? Ain’t no way in the world,” Sanders said.

Sanders is alluding to his son Shedeur’s fall to the fifth round of the NFL Draft after many, including Deion, expected Shedeur to go in the first round. Evidently, Deion has some hard feelings toward the league over how that process played out.

Previously, Sanders said he would only consider coaching in the NFL if he got to coach both of his sons. The chances of that happening are obviously low, especially since his son Shilo is not even on an NFL roster right now.
