Sacramento State is about to make a splash in the college football world — and it’s not just for what happens on the field.
Multi-platinum hip-hop recording artist and 2026 wide receiver prospect Nau’Jour Grainger, better known as Toosii, is set to visit the Hornets campus for their home opener.
Hornets head coach Brennan Marion personally extended a scholarship to Grainger on Friday during a FaceTime call, according to Steve Wiltfong of ON3 Rivals.
Grainger, a standout receiver from Rolesville High in Raleigh, North Carolina, has already taken visits to Maryland and USC and appears ready to make headlines both on and off the field.
“I’m chasing history. First multi-platinum recording artist to go back to school and play DIVISION I football. Next year I’m gonna be on somebody’s team mark my words!” Grainger wrote on X on Aug. 18, alongside video of him catching passes at NC State’s practice facility.
The Hornets’ head coach didn’t waste time connecting with Grainger.
Marion’s scholarship offer underscores Sacramento State’s commitment to landing unique talent and adding star power to its program.
The visit will also give Grainger a chance to meet with current Sacramento State commits, including Long Beach Poly receiver Kamarie Smith and Granite Bay running back Isaiah Ene.
Grainger’s journey from Syracuse, New York, to Raleigh, North Carolina, has been marked by success in both football and music.
He played high school football at Rolesville High, where his 2015 season highlights remain a testament to his athleticism.
