A star was born at UFC 322.

This weekend’s UFC 322 is massive for the welterweight division.

In the main event, Islam Makhachev challenges welterweight champion Jack Della Maddalena. A few fights before, Carlos Prates made a case to fight the winner when he became the first fighter to knock out former champion Leon Edwards.

The welterweight action didn’t stop there as #2-ranked contender Sean Brady met the undefeated Michael Morales in a bout that Dana White said ‘sure’ to being a title eliminator at Thursday’s press conference.

Morales has quite the argument to fight for the title after his latest performance.

Michael Morales TKOs Sean Brady in UFC 322 title eliminator

Morales came into UFC 322 as the #8-ranked contender in the world.

Morales will likely be ranked in the top 3 after TKO’ing Sean Brady inside of a round.

Morales hurt Brady with strikes less than two minutes into the first round.

It didn’t take long for Brady to eventually fold to Morales’ power and the Ecuadorian overwhelmed him with punches to get the TKO stoppage early into the fight.

Morales improves to 19-0 as a pro after the biggest win of his career.

Post-fight, Morales asked UFC boss Dana White for a shot at the UFC belt.

Michael Morales has the second-longest win streak at welterweight

Morales is coming off back-to-back TKO wins over former title challenger Gilbert Burns and Brady.

Morales has the second-longest active win streak in the UFC welterweight division at 7. He’s tied with Shavkat Rakhmonov.

As of this writing, champion Jack Della Maddalena holds the longest win streak at 8.
