Michael Morales stops Sean Brady in the first at UFC 322

Half of the Top 10 ranked welterweights in the world were featured on Saturday's UFC 322: Della Maddalena vs. Makhachev fight card. 

The welterweight title bout between champion Jack Della Maddalena and former lightweight titleholder Islam Makhachev headlined the event, but the main card also featured a match between No. 2 Sean Brady and No. 8 ranked Michael Morales. 

Brady was riding a three-fight winning streak and coming off a submission win over former champion Leon Edwards in his last outing. Morales brought his undefeated record an a desire to remain unbeaten.

Morales took the center of the cage as Brady circled on the outside. Morales worked to establish his jab early. Brady moved into the pocket but Morales moved just out of the way. Morales landed a hard right hand. He hurt Brady. Another right connected. Brady circled away. Brady connected with a counter left hand. 

Morales began throwing winging right hands. Morales landed a right had that hurt Brady. He followed with an uppercut and Brady crashed to the canvas. A few followup shots forced the referee to step in. 

The official time of the TKO stoppage was 3:27 of the first round.
