Bryson DeChambeau and Chris Pratt have known each other for years. We’ve seen the duo play together on the course with fun, tips and dance-offs. But a few years ago, the Hollywood star had advice for DeChambeau that changed his life.

Talking about a conversation from 2022, DeChambeau told the media at LIV Golf South Africa, “I was talking to Chris Pratt about do I be somebody else, I don’t know what to do anymore. He goes, ‘Bryson, there’s two choices, you can act and play a part or you can be yourself.’”

Ever since then, DeChambeau has chosen to show up and be himself every single day. He didn’t talk about the change, but it seemed evident in the way he carried himself in the past couple of years. Of course, there are times when he loses control. But as he grows older and wiser, things get more under control.

The two-time major champion continued, “As you mature and grow up a little bit, those things reduce and you start to be more of your authentic self, realizing that golf isn’t necessarily the biggest thing in the world but that you have a responsibility to entertain, play the best golf and showcase what golf can do for the world.”

The revelation first came four years ago, during DeChambeau’s appearance on the Full Send Podcast. But even before that, when DeChambeau faced a setback in 2021, it was the MCU’s Star-Lord who helped him bounce back from the slump.

And now, the golfer has come up with a piece of advice for the youngsters.

“Don’t try to be anybody else than yourself,” DeChambeau told the media. “I think that’s a good message to youngsters out there and to anybody watching is the more that you are yourself, you will find your place in the world. You will find where you’re supposed to be in the world.”

Like Pratt previously told DeChambeau, people will define and relate golfers to how they play on the course. But that doesn’t really have to be their identity off the course. And that’s where the players can shine and show the world who they really are.

But what’s your opinion on Chris Pratt’s advice for DeChambeau?
