There is the WWE’s The Miz, and then there’s the Milwaukee Brewers’ own “The Miz” in the form of none other than pitcher Jacob Misiorowski.

During a recent appearance on “Foul Territory,” the 23-year-old right-hander Misiorowski was asked by former MLB catcher AJ Pierzynski if he had already connected with the professional wrestler before to get permission for the nickname.

“We have not. I would love to,” Misiorowski responded. “I haven’t met the guy yet.”

Pierzynski then joked about Misiorowski stealing The Miz’s gimmick, to which the young hurler said, “Yeah, I did. It kind of just got handed to me.”

However, The Miz had acknowledged Misiorowski in 2025 during the 2025 MLB All-Star break. Although a Cleveland Guardians fan, the two-time WWE champ, whose real name is Michael Gregory Mizanin, showed some love for Misiorowski.

“There’s just something about being really, really good at what you do and being called The Miz,” he wrote in a post on X, formerly Twitter.

Will Misiorowski meet The Miz one day?

Perhaps Mizanin and Misiorowski will meet in person one of these days, and when that happens, expect the internet to be buzzing with all sorts of reactions. Professional wrestling and professional baseball are two completely different realms, but that doesn’t mean there can’t be crossovers.

During his rookie season in the big leagues in 2025, Misiorowski went 5-3 and posted a 4.36 ERA with 87 strikeouts through 66.0 innings and 15 appearances (14 starts). He made waves in the postseason as well, where he made three relief appearances and allowed just two earned runs on seven hits with three walks and 16 strikeouts through 12.0 innings.
