Charles Oliveira has a bone to pick with the UFC bosses.
The former lightweight champion is set to return in Saturday’s UFC 326 main event, where the chance to add another title to his résumé awaits the fan favorite.
Oliveira will challenge BMF champion Max Holloway at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena, as the Brazilian looks to become the fourth holder of the symbolic belt.
But that is not the only thing on Oliveira’s mind heading into his first fight of 2026. He’s also trying to convince Dana White and co. to organize a major event in his home country.
Oliveira defeated Mateusz Gamrot last October on home soil, making it seven wins out of seven UFC fights in Brazil for ‘Do Bronx’.
But the lightweight legend is not content filling out arenas in cities like Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. He wants to sell out a stadium.
During his UFC 326 media day appearance on Wednesday, Oliveira told UFC bosses Dana White and Hunter Campbell to “get it together” and book the stadium show that Brazilians deserve.
“I’ve said this before and I said it after my last fight — Brazil deserves it,” Oliveira told reporters.
“This is the time for us to do it. This is the time to make it happen. To make it in a stadium. Brazil deserves that. The Brazilian people deserve that. A stadium, closed, put an Octagon in the middle and we’re going to do our job, which is to fill that stadium up to capacity.
“Listen, Dana, Hunter, Sean (Shelby); everybody get it together,” he continued. “The Brazilian people deserve this and we’re going to make it beautiful.”
For the time being, a number of Brazil’s best may have their eyes on a huge event elsewhere.
Among the top names rumored to feature at the UFC event on the White House lawn this June are Alex Pereira and Amanda Nunes.
If Kayla Harrison recovers in time from the neck injury that forced her out of UFC 324 in January, she is expected to put her bantamweight title on the line against the returning ‘Lioness’ in Washington D.C.
‘Poatan’, meanwhile, is eyeing up a third divisional title after dropping his light heavyweight belt.
While a super-fight between Pereira and Jon Jones is not yet dead, many are predicting the Brazilian to challenge for interim heavyweight gold against Ciryl Gane amid Tom Aspinall’s absence.
