Mike Perry thinks Conor McGregor is furious after his latest fight announcement.

‘Platinum’ is set to face Nate Diaz during the Most Valuable Promotions MMA card on May 16.

The BKFC King of Violence insists he’s secured the opponent Conor McGregor wanted to face in his eagerly anticipated UFC comeback fight.

Watch Mike Perry joke about Conor McGregor

Mike Perry poked fun at Conor McGregor during a recent interview with Ariel Helwani.

In the same breath, the 34-year-old voiced his support for the BKFC co-owner and UFC superstar.

“Conor’s punching the air right now that it’s me and Nate instead of his trilogy,” Perry said.

“‘Ah, that damn ‘Platinum’ Perry, King of Violence, working off my shine in bare knuckle.’ He ain’t never fought nobody in bare knuckle.

“The world is excited to see him back in the ring. I know you’re working on it. I know you’re trying. I know the UFC is giving you a hard time. We all look forward to seeing you back in the ring.

“I don’t know who he’s gonna fight. I don’t think the [Michael] Chandler fight makes a lot of sense anymore. He could fight me in bare-knuckle, maybe, if he wanted to.”

Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz 3 will never happen

Conor McGregor’s trilogy with Nate Diaz is allegedly permanently off the table moving forward.

Diaz was reportedly in talks with the UFC about a third fight with McGregor before deciding to fight Perry on Jake Paul‘s first MMA show instead.

Veteran MMA reporter Luke Thomas claims that the move rules out Diaz ever rejoining MMA’s premier league.

“Not just this, but the way I heard it, Diaz taking this fight closes the door on a UFC return completely, he tweeted.

“So, whatever Diaz is making or planning for future fights, he’s doing so knowing there’s no UFC homecoming possible now.”
