The Philadelphia 76ers are at home on Tuesday night as they face off against the Memphis Grizzlies in an interconference matchup.
For the 76ers, they enter Tuesday’s game amid a two-game losing streak and they have also dropped nine of their last 14 games, which has caused them to fall to eighth in the Eastern Conference standings with a 34-30 record.
Of course, Philadelphia has struggled with injuries over the past few weeks as they have been without star Joel Embiid due to an oblique strain while Tyrese Maxey is sidelined with a finger sprain.
The 76ers also remain without forward Paul George as he continues to serve a suspension for violating the NBA’s anti-drug policy.
With the injuries piling up for the 76ers, they are looking to pick up a key victory at home against a struggling Grizzlies team and they also received some positive injury news regarding one of their key young players.
Ahead of Tuesday’s game against the Grizzlies, the 76ers announced that V.J. Edgecombe will be available as he will return from a three-game absence due to a lumbar contusion.

He'll be the primary ball-handler.
Head coach Nick Nurse also told reporters ahead of Tuesday’s matchup that Edgecombe will not be on a minute’s limit against the Grizzlies.
This is great news for the 76ers as they will get back one of their key players back from injury and Edgecombe will likely have a large role for Philadelphia against Memphis.
Of course, Edgecombe has put together a solid first season in the NBA after being selected third overall by the 76ers in the 2025 NBA Draft and he has played a key role for Philadelphia.
This season, the 20-year-old guard is averaging 15.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.5 steals per game while shooting 42.7% from the field and 36.1% from three.
With Edgecombe’s return on Tuesday, Philadelphia now gets back one of their key players as they try to turn things around amid their recent slump and fight their way back into a playoff spot in the East standings to avoid the Play-In Tournament.
Fans can catch Tuesday night’s matchup between the Grizzlies and 76ers from Philadelphia at 7:00 p.m. EST.
