The Milwaukee Bucks’ G-League affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd, added two-time All-Star Victor Oladipo back in November. He was tabbed as a name to monitor, a potentially intriguing reclamation project following years of injury.
If Oladipo breaks back into the NBA, it won’t be with the Bucks. Earlier this week, his time in the organization came to a close when the Herd agreed to a trade with the Cleveland Charge, the Cavaliers’ G-League squad.
In NBA G League news, the Cleveland Charge have traded for former NBA All-Star Victor Oladipo. Oladipo last played in the NBA in 2023 and has played for the Wisconsin Herd in the G League this season.

Oladipo appeared in 15 games for the Herd, starting eight. He averaged 13.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 2.1 assists but struggled to find his shooting stroke. His splits of 39/33/78 parallel his NBA numbers from his last season in the league, 42 games with the Heat in 2022-23.
Now 33, perhaps the former No.2 overall pick can claw his way back in Cleveland. Earlier this season, the Cavaliers signed another ex-member of the Bucks franchise, forward Chris Livingston. He has appeared in three games for the Cavaliers and five for the Charge, averaging 15.4 points per game.
Oladipo’s 10-year NBA career covers 504 games between the Magic, Pacers, Heat, Rockets, and Thunder. It was in Indiana that he rose to prominence. Oladipo won Most Improved Player in 2017-18, his first season as a Pacer, by contributing a career-high 23.1 points per contest. The league-leader in steals at 2.4 per game, Oladipo made his first of back-to-back All-Star appearances and was named All-Defense First Team.
Sadly, injuries derailed his career the very next year. Limited to 36 games in 2018-19, Oladipo never made more than 33 starts in a season afterward. From ’18-19 to ’22-23, he logged 138 games total. It’s a testament to perseverance that he is still fighting to return, even though at this point his NBA career is likely over.
