Absolutely LOVE this hire by Udoka.
Udoka and Stoudamire grew up together in Portland. Stoudamire also spent eight seasons with the Trail Blazers from the 1997-98 season through the 2004-05 campaign and spent time with the Toronto Raptors, San Antonio Spurs and Memphis Grizzlies in his 13-year career.
Stoudamire has a 71-77 record as a coach but led the Pacific Tigers to one of their best seasons in 2019-20 with a 23-10 record (11-5 in the West Coast Conference).
Udoka already added former San Antonio Spurs assistant Will Hardy to his staff.
At his introductory press conference, Udoka suggested that he would be interested in bringing in his own staff to replace the coaches Brad Stevens had last season.
