Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo has struggled on the floor recently. His slump in shooting the basketball hasn't helped the Heat win games lately. After a strong start to the 2025-26 NBA season, Miami has fallen to a 15-15 record.

On Tuesday, the Heat faced the Toronto Raptors. It was the same story for Adebayo, as he continues his inconsistent shooting. He scored just nine points on 36.4% shooting. Fortunately for Miami, he contributed in other ways. He had 12 rebounds, three assists and two steals.

However, that wasn't enough for the Heat to win the game, and they suffered a 112-91 loss to the Raptors.

Following the contest, Adebayo was asked about his thoughts on the recent shooting slump he's experiencing.

“It sucks, but it’s a part of the NBA, it’s a long season,” Adebayo said.

“Figure out how I can impact winning and do that instead of focusing on shots not falling, just play basketball. Shots will eventually start falling.”

Before their game against the Raptors. Adebayo has already experienced a slump over the past three games. During that stretch, he averaged 12.7 points and 12.0 rebounds on 37.8% shooting. His difficulties have also impacted the team's performance. Miami went 1-2 during those three games.

Adebayo is one of the key players for the Heat. This is why the team is expecting him to perform well on both ends. Through 23 games played, he's averaged 18.3 points, 9.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists.

Fortunately for the Heat, the former No. 14 pick can do other things on the floor other than score.
