The high-octane realm of the NBA always delivers exciting moments on the court. But sometimes, things get out of hand in the most unexpected manner. When the Memphis Grizzlies took on the Miami Heat this Saturday, tensions soared. And as the likes of Scotty Pippen Jr. and Myron Gardner had a heated altercation, Ja Morant decided to get involved.

The Grizzlies suffered a loss at the hands of a clinical Miami Heat. But a heated exchange between Pippen Jr. and Gardner grabbed all the headlines. In the closing minutes of the game, Gardner delivered what Pippen Jr. referred to as a ‘cheap shot.’ As the Grizzlies’ star failed in his 3-point attempt, he immediately charged back at Gardner.

Refusing to back down, both NBA stars engaged in a wrestling and shoving contest. As the action spilled onto the front row, the officials interfered and ejected both players.

Surprisingly, following the brawl, Morant had quite a surprising reaction to the incident. Commenting on Pippen Jr.’s Instagram story, the 26-year-old wrote, “smoke broskii?”

While it is not clear exactly what the Grizzlies star wanted to convey to his teammate, the reaction garnered considerable attention. Meanwhile, such a cryptic comment further intrigued the fans, considering how the 26-year-old’s trade rumors blew up recently.

Is Ja Morant’s Value In The Trade Market Going Down?

During the trade deadline, reports about a potential trade involving the two-time NBA All-Star flooded the market. However, while many teams showed interest, the Grizzlies’ star decided to stay.

However, upon closer inspection, there seems to be a major problem. Memphis reportedly received no attractive offers, which came in as an eye-opener for Morant.

Morant expected to be traded by the February trade deadline, and the fact that he wasn’t came as a bit of a surprise to him. Teams not making significant offers came as a wake-up call for Morant, who is determined to work his way back from his elbow injury and prove to teams in the NBA that he’s worth trading for,” Tomer Azarly wrote in a recent report.

Well, with the 2019 first round second overall pick trying to make an impact, fans will be keeping a close eye on what his next big move will be.
