After suffering a historic collapse at Madison Square Garden, the San Antonio Spurs find themselves on the brink of elimination heading into Game 5 of the NBA Finals on Saturday.
The Spurs held a 29-point lead in the second half of Game 4 and seemed primed to take 2-2 series back to the Frost Bank Center. But a furious Knicks rally meant instead they went home on the losing end of the largest comeback in NBA Finals history and down 3-1 in the series.
While plenty went wrong for the Spurs in the second half, they still had a chance to win before two gaffes from two of their most important players. Victor Wembanyama missed two critical free throws with 1:47 left in the game, before veteran De’Aaron Fox got a layup blocked by New York hero OG Anunoby rather than waiting for the Knicks to foul him with 11.1 seconds left and the Spurs up by 1.
The good news for San Antonio fans is that the Spurs have already staved off elimination multiple times in this postseason, winning two do-or-die games against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Webanyama has proven he can dominate a game on his own multiple times this postseason with no better example than his 41-point, 24-rebound effort in Game 1 against OKC. With that being said, can you name the NBA players with at least one 30-point, 20-rebound postseason game?
Good luck!
