Bills' Josh Allen has to be thrilled with the latest team update that's sure to impact 2026

The Buffalo Bills are going to have a busy offseason in hopes of bringing in some key help for quarterback Josh Allen. One of the biggest things moving forward is going to be getting him reliable wide receiver options after a disastrous 2025 season, where it seemed like nobody outside of a Khalil Shakir screen could get open. It was evident that a change needed to happen in 2026.

While change is important, it doesn't mean that the wide receiver room from last year won't have some returning players in 2026. One of those players is a good buddy of Allen, and that man is none other than Gabe Davis. Davis returned to Buffalo and, in limited playing time, proved to once again be a reliable target for Allen. He showed that he still had some gas left in the tank.

Unfortunately, Buffalo just can't have nice things, and Davis went down with a nasty injury in the team's Wild Card playoff win against the Jacksonville Jaguars. It was a torn ACL in his left knee, ending his season before the Bills' loss to the Denver Broncos in the divisional round.

Davis provided an important update that is sure to make his pal Allen happy.

Davis took to Instagram with a simple caption that read "Time to run it back," after having successful ACL surgery to reconstruct the ligaments in his knee. While his timeline to return is in question, having him back on the field will go a long way toward the Bills having success.
