The New York Giants are trying to add some weapons for quarterback Jaxson Dart.

The Giants agreed to a one-year, $10 million contract with wide receiver Darnell Mooney, according to multiple reports. Mooney joins the Giants after two seasons with the Atlanta Falcons.

Mooney had his best seasons with the Chicago Bears, where he spent the first four years of his career. His best year came in 2021, when he caught 81 passes for 1,055 yards and four touchdowns. He has primarily been used as a secondary option since then both in Chicago and Atlanta.

Mooney is primarily a speed threat, so the Giants might be trying to give Dart some deep threats. Darius Slayton is already on the roster, but the team clearly has a vision for both of them based on the contract they are giving Mooney.

There is no question that the Giants could use an infusion of talent on offense, as they struggled to find consistency at wide receiver last season outside of Wan’Dale Robinson. They should also have Malik Nabers back from injury, meaning their offense has a chance to be a lot better in 2026.
