The Green Bay Packers kicked off the offseason with limited salary-cap flexibility and a roster in flux, centered on quarterback Jordan Love and defensive end Micah Parsons.
When Parsons steps back onto the field, the Packers’ roster will look noticeably different. Wide receiver Romeo Doubs , quarterback Malik Willis, defensive end Kingsley Enagbare, and center Elgton Jenkins have all moved on from Green Bay.
While critics downplayed the quality of the departing players, Parsons defended his former teammates and took a pointed, understated swipe at the Cowboys.
I think any player hitting a second contract is successful to me ! Business is business I had 3 all pros and still ain’t get paid by the team that drafted me! https://t.co/vfGAQ1a02f

“I think any player hitting a second contract is successful to me ! Business is business I had 3 all pros and still ain’t get paid by the team that drafted me!” Parsons wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
It’s clear that the Packers star still harbors frustration over his treatment in Dallas. He previously voiced his displeasure with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, publicly criticizing him on social media during their heated dispute over a contract extension.
Parsons was confident in his value, though the Cowboys clearly disagreed. Once he joined the Packers, Green Bay rewarded him with a four-year, $188 million contract, making him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history. With that in mind, he understood why Doubs, Willis, Enagbare, and Jenkins chose to pursue bigger opportunities elsewhere.
Additional departures could be on the horizon in Green Bay, as linebacker Quay Walker, offensive tackle Rasheed Walker, and tight end John FitzPatrick are reportedly exploring free agency.
