The New York Giants have a ton of new confidence with head coach John Harbaugh now leading the organization. On top of that new energy, the Giants must also now add much-needed talent to the roster.
The 2026 NFL Draft is a huge opportunity for the team to add some impact talent to go with quarterback Jaxson Dart and a deep defensive front. Taking some pressure off Dart was the top priority in this mock. From there, it was about upgrading the secondary, adding speed to the defense, and a developmental offensive lineman.
All of those priorities were met during this 2026 7-round mock draft. If you’re excited about the upside of this Giants team, it’s highly likely that likely increased after an early gamble.
It won’t be popular, but there’s a very real chance that Love might be too good to pass up for the Giants. He is an incredibly explosive runner with long speed and outstanding upside as a pass receiver.

After standout performances at both the Senior Bowl and Scouting Combine, Johnson isn’t considered a secret anymore. He is a really instinctive cover man with a really nice combination of long speed and quickness.
Malik Nabers is one of the better young wide receivers in the NFL, but he is still returning from injury. Even with Nabers, the Giants have a lack of impact size on the outside. Fields brings a huge size profile to the table.
The former Cal transfer brings a ton of speed and range on the second level. His eyes can be very inconsistent, but when he keys properly, there are some natural playmaking instincts for Elarms-Orr.
TCU LB Kaleb Elarms-Orr (#3) is one of “my guys” in the class. Plus athlete on the 2nd level, and comfort working in space. Eyes need to be more consistent but there’s been real progress there.

Former Cal Xer had 130 tackles in 2025. Several teams have 3rd round grades on him. pic.twitter.com/xCzEst2FND
From a technical and consistency perspective, Pounds leaves a lot to be desired. He does, however, have a ton of natural size, foot quickness, and length to work with. Pounds is going to need to improve his core strength.
There are a lot more talented cornerbacks in the 2026 class than Wright, but he’s one of the more consistent of the group. Wright has the feel of a player who is going to find a role for a long time.
At 6-4 and 215 pounds, Wisniewski is a versatile defender who has worn many different hats during his time with Texas Tech and North Dakota State. There’s a chance that Wisniewski eventually moves over to linebacker, but at worst, he should become a dynamic special teamer.
Texas Tech S Cole Wisniewski (#5) is viewed as a safety by some NFL teams, and a linebacker by others. His ability to fit against the run/run the alley makes him incredibly valuable. His versatility, combined with special teams upside, should create a solid role for Wisniewski. pic.twitter.com/RZsthtzLkq
