The Green Bay Packers have parted ways with a lot of players of late, and among the latest Titletown departees is wide receiver Romeo Doubs.
After four seasons with Green Bay, Doubs is joining a new team, agreeing to a contract with the New England Patriots, who just ruled the AFC and reached the Super Bowl in the 2025 NFL campaign.
Doubs, who will turn 26 years old in April, secured a huge bag with the Pats, as he lands a four-year, $68 million contract, which is significantly larger than what he signed before with Green Bay. After getting taken by Green Bay in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, the former Nevada football star inked a four-year, $4.34 million rookie contract with the NFC North franchise.
In 59 total games with Green Bay, Doubs racked up 2,424 receiving yards and 21 touchdowns on 202 receptions. Now, he’ll help the Patriots sustain the momentum following a deep playoff run.
Meanwhile, Christian Watson sent a message to Doubs after learning of the latter’s new contract.
“GET PAID FAM,” Watson shared via an Instagram Story post.
Watson also got recently paid, as he signed a one-year, $11 million extension with the Packers in September 2025. He will be a free agent in the next offseason, so perhaps he will get a bigger bag as well in 2027.
