The New England Patriots may find Sunday’s AFC Championship Game even more tilted toward the Denver Broncos than expected, as the team has limited ticket purchases through Ticketmaster to the Rocky Mountain region.
“As we’ve done for previous AFC Championship Games, the extremely limited amount of single-game tickets on sale for Sunday was restricted to the Rocky Mountain Region to prioritize Broncos fans," Broncos spokesman Patrick Smyth told 9News.
According to an in-app message from Ticketmaster, the Rocky Mountain region includes Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming, Nebraska, Montana, South Dakota and western Kansas.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Ticketmaster told Boston 25 News, “Sometimes teams will place geographic restrictions on certain events to give local fans the best chance to attend."
The decision makes it more difficult for Patriots fans — most of whom are based in the Northeast — to attend the game.
New England supporters will be forced to turn to secondary marketplaces, where high demand could drive ticket prices even higher.
The silver lining for Patriots fans is that New England has been one of the NFL’s best road teams. The Patriots went 8–0 away from home during the 2025 regular season, including wins over the Bills, Panthers and Buccaneers.
