The 'Single-playoff goal leaders' quiz

When the Vegas Golden Knights take the ice in Raleigh for Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals, they’ll do so with a new single-playoff goal-scoring leader.

With his second period goal against Brandon Bussi in Game 4, Brett Howden scored his  14th goal of the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs to break his tie with Jonathan Marchessault from 2022-23 and tie Game 4 at 3-3. It wasn’t enough, as Hurricanes captain Jordan Staal scored his second goal of the game and fifth of the Final to give Carolina a 4-3 lead in the third before Nikolaj Ehlers’ improbable empty-netter sealed the 5-3 victory.

With the series tied at 2-2, the good news for Vegas fans is they captured the Stanley Cup behind Marchessault’s 13-goal postseason run.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Howden’s 14 postseason-goals are not only a Vegas single-season record, but are both a career-high and 2026 playoff-high as well. With that being said, can you name the players with the most goals in one Stanley Cup Playoff run for each NHL franchise?

Good luck!
