Is Mohamed Salah Playing Tonight for Liverpool vs Marseille?

Liverpool will play a difficult away match in the Champions League against Marseille at the Orange Velodrome. The Reds need a win to have a chance of reaching the top eight positions of the UCL league table.

Liverpool's performances have not convinced the fans despite the team being unbeaten in their last 12 matches across all competitions.

In their previous match, Liverpool drew 1-1 with Burnley over the weekend in the Premier League. Ahead of the match against Marseille in the Champions League, Arne Slot expressed his excitement for the return of Mohamed Salah.

Salah has not played for Liverpool since December 13, 2025, in the Reds' 2-0 home win in the Premier League. Salah has spent a month with the Egyptian national team at the 2025 AFCON, where they finished fourth in the competition.

Mohamed Salah was included in the Liverpool squad that will travel to Marseille to play against Marseille in the Champions League. Salah was part of the team training ahead of the Champions League match today.

Mohamed Salah set to play in Marseille vs Liverpool

Mohamed Salah is expected to play in the Champions League match between Marseille and Liverpool. Salah is not expected to start the match, but he is set to get minutes.

Arne Slot expressed his excitement to see Salah back in the squad as the team prepares to play against Marseille.

Slot said, "With Mo, I'm really happy and pleased that he's back. In his absence, I think we've done quite OK in terms of hardly conceding any chance. We start to create more and more - and if you start to create more and more, it's really helpful to have a player like Mo Salah."
