Leao denies Milan training ground argument with Allegri

Rafael Leao used social media to deny a report he had clashed with Milan coach Max Allegri in training due to his work ethic.

The Portugal international threw a tantrum after he was substituted during the defeat to Lazio , then was left out of the squad entirely for the next match against Torino.

It was officially due to an injury, and there was a report in the Gazzetta dello Sport that the pair clashed during a training session the day before the game.

Leao reacts to Milan report

The suggestion is that Allegri complained during a training session that Leao needed to help out his teammates more and be incisive in attack.

His response was: ‘I can’t do it.’

At this point, Allegri decided to leave Leao out of the squad entirely for the 3-2 victory at Torino.

However, Leao responded on Instagram to this story with a symbol that made his intentions clear, as it was a red cross.

The fitness issue was considered sufficient enough for him to be left out of the Portugal squad for international duty.
