Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Argentine striker Jose Manuel Lopez, commonly known as Flaco Lopez, at the end of the season.

According to a report via CaughtOffside, the 25-year-old has impressed with his performances for Palmeiras, and Spurs are hoping to bring him to the Premier League. It will be interesting to see if they can get the deal done.

Tottenham keen on Jose Manuel Lopez

The player will cost around £35-40 million. Tottenham have the finances to pay that kind of money for him, and investing in a quality striker should be a top priority for them. Randal Kolo Muani will leave the club when his loan deal expires, and Dominic Solanke has not been a prolific goalscorer. Lopez could be the ideal acquisition for them, especially if he adapts to English football quickly.

The opportunity to move to England will be exciting for him as well. He would get to test himself at a high-level and prove himself in the Premier League. Lopez has two caps for Argentina so far, and regular football in the Premier League could help him cement his place in the national team.

Lopez has done well for Palmeiras

The player has five goals and four assists in 12 appearances this season, and there is no doubt he could be a useful addition to Tottenham’s attacking unit. He will help create opportunities for his teammates and find the back of the net as well.

The player is at the peak of his career, and this is the right time for him to take on a new challenge and move to the Premier League. He has the technical attributes to succeed in English football, and he will look to establish himself as a key player for the North London club.

Lopez has been hailed as a “very good player” by Lionel Scaloni.
