Just weeks removed from her departure from ESPN, Elle Duncan has plenty of work coming her way. The new host of live sports on Netflix, who is hosting her first broadcast for the streaming giant Friday as Alex Honnold attempts to free solo climb the Taipei 101 skyscraper, has added on a pair of hosting duties to come in 2026. Netflix has announced Duncan will be their host for their Major League Baseball coverage, while USA Sports has announced she will also be the host of the cable network’s coverage of the WNBA.
Duncan’s agent Matt Olson told Sports Business Journal’s Richard Deitsch last week that Duncan, who left ESPN in early December, will anchor Netflix’s broadcast of Opening Night in Major League Baseball, as the San Francisco Giants host the New York Yankees at Oracle Park March 25. She will also host the streamer’s coverage of Major League Baseball’s Home Run Derby at the All-Star Game in Philadelphia. Olson said she is also slated to be the face of their coverage of FIFA’s Women’s Word Cup, which comes to Netflix in 2027.
In addition, Duncan was named this week as the studio host for USA Sports’ coverage of the WNBA, which begins with this upcoming season.

Duncan is able to work for USA Sports and its parent company, Versant, because her contract with Netflix is not exclusive. However, the streamer does retain “first position” for Duncan’s services, according to Olson.
Netflix has yet to reveal who will be calling the games in the booth, nor have they named who will join Duncan for their studio coverage. USA has announced that former WNBA star and current Atlanta Dream vice president Renee Montgomery will work alongside Duncan for basketball coverage.
