WWE 2K26's first season doesn't begin until the new game releases via early access tomorrow, but its creators are already looking ahead. It has started to reveal which wrestlers will be added to the game in future seasons, confirming that, for the first time since WWE 2K17, Brian Pillman will be on the roster .

Brian Pillman Is Coming To WWE 2K26 In Season Three

Lexis King, Pillman's son, who is currently signed to WWE, was given the honor of revealing his dad will be in the game. The clip of King making the announcement was shared on WWE 2K's X account. Pillman has only been playable in three WWE games before - WWE '13, WWE 2K16, and WWE 2K17 - which means his inclusion on the 2K26 roster brings his running total up to four.

Someone else who has been absent from WWE video games for very different reasons also returns to the roster in WWE 2K26 - Matt Cardona . Cardona has been missing from WWE's video games since WWE 2K20 as he has been wrestling elsewhere. Now he's back, he's back in the games. A significant milestone for Cardona, as this will be the first time he appears in a WWE game as Matt Cardona rather than Zack Ryder.

Pillman And Cardona Will Be Added To The Ringside Pass In Season Three

The only downside to Cardona and Pillman's 2K returns is that you're not going to be able to use them right away. Both have been announced as part of season three's Ringside Pass. We don't have an exact start date for season three yet, but we do know that you'll be able to start unlocking its items and Superstars at some point in June.

For those still unclear on what the Ringside Pass is and how it works, it's the new way 2K is approaching DLC, starting with WWE 2K26. Instead of adding more Superstars through packs you buy, they will be added via the Ringside Pass each season. You will have to pay for the premium track each season, depending on which edition of the game you have, as all DLC Superstars will be on the paid version of the pass.

Season one will be all about AAA in terms of wrestlers you can unlock, and there will be more AAA stars added to the roster in the coming seasons. 2K has already revealed La Parka will join Pillman and Cardona in season three, La Princesa Tibetana is coming in season four, and we even already know one of the wrestlers being added to the game during season six in October - Octagon Jr.
